New Illustration

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

I added a new piece to the gallery. It’s an illustration of Scud: The Disposable Assassin by Rob Schrab.

Gallery Redesign

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

I updated the way that the art gallery section links to the pieces. As of right now the Samus Aran - Metroid piece is the only one that links to the new page. But I plan to remedy that very soon.

Rebel Bytes 2.1

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

Mitch Donaberger created the original image for this animation for 4 color rebellion. It’s from their one-panel comic project, Rebel Bytes. And it demanded to be animated. So I did.

Konami Code Sample #1

This is the first sample of me working on the new Konami Code poster. The first image is the left most apostle from the original Last Supper painting by Leonardo da Vinci. The next image is the same apostle from the Dueling Analogs Konami Code comic. And lastly, the far right image is the same apostle from the poster version I am currently working on.

Hopefully, you can tell from the images that I’m updating the style a little and having some fun in the process. Not going for anything close to exact. Just going for similar and fun. Also, the last image is far from done. The hair is still very chaotic and there’s a lot of color shades still missing on the face.

Just wanted to let you guys see where I am currently at. I’ll add a new posting when the first apostle is at least 95% done.

More Changes

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

So the way the gallery page looks in FireFox and Safari is exactly how I wanted it to look. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer doesn’t like playing well with others. So this weekend I’m updating the gallery from being shadowed pop-ups of the full-sized pieces to stand alone pages with the single full-size piece displayed.

Every time I think I’m done, this site keeps pulling me back in!

Gone Live

Monday, August 4th, 2008

Who knew it would only take me 7 1/2 years after I bought the this URL to actually take my portfolio site live?

Honestly, I’m impressed with the client base I have garnered over the years simply by word of mouth and via my other online projects. Now, I’m curious to see what happens next seeing that that I actually have an online portfolio.

To be a real artist, you need to have one of these, don’t you know?
